mirror, mirror, in my pocket

Okay, how adorable are these pocket mirrors from Jayson Home & Garden? I've been Christmas shopping these past few days and although I love the idea of these as a stocking stuffer, wouldn't they be perfect as part of a bridesmaid gift along with a pashmina, clutch, and lip gloss?

I'm going to save this idea for a rainy day...

stephanie's fall obsession - iomoi

I can't help but think about holiday parties (or parties in general) all but 24/7. As an event planner, I'm constantly looking for inspiration for new decor, flowers, chairs, etc. I stumbled upon iomoi thanks to the genius over at Knight Moves and am pretty much fixated on every single one of their items for sale, particularly these fantastic plates. I could plan an entire event around the party monkeys. Iomoi explains that they are "perfectly chic for every occasion". So true iomoi, so very true.

Unfortunately the melamine plates aren't incredibly budget friendly, so I may resort to purchasing the oh-so-adorable coasters instead. I can much more easily justify purchasing a set of 25 coasters for $20 as opposed to a $30 plate. Won't these make a fantastic Christmas present or hostess gift?

hillary's fall obsession - hunter rain boots

Most people are not excited to see rain in the forecast. But when my Hunter rain boots arrived yesterday, I could not have been more ecstatic as this meant I could wear them to work today. I ordered them via VIP Zappos (if you're not a VIP member, you should sign up here - great perks.)

On this cold, rainy, very fall day, it's surprising how a pair of rubber boots can brighten your day. They are chic, classic, and oh so toasty warm. If you don't have a pair, they are a must for the fall/winter months. And if you want to spend a bit more, I recommend purchasing the fleece welly socks -- available in numerous colors, they add a personal touch to any outfit. If you're not looking to splurge at all, check out these adorable knockoffs at Target...almost identical.

Well there you are, first blog post. Now go buy yourself some boots, splash (or sing) in the rain, and look fabulous while doing it.

Well, hello!

It started in November of 2010...

Hillary: I think I need to start a blog...

Stephanie: Ditto! Let's start one together! I assume you'll come up with the punny title?

Hillary: YES! Perfect. And hmmm... You've got me thinking....we'll come up with something cleaver....

Stephanie: I think you mean clever. Sheesh. I guess we know who will be editing said blog.

Hillary: HAHA. Oops!

So here we are! Two sisters and their blog of simple things; food, clothes, home decor, and fabulous finds. We hope you enjoy!
